About Bang Lan Night Market
Everyday at 17:00 Ayutthaya’s largest night market sets up on the Bang Lan Road. The night market has a variety of different stalls, some selling clothes, some selling kitchenware, some sell selling toys, but the majority selling food. Ayutthaya is well known for its Historical Park but not its nightlife and restaurant scene so if you are planning to stay overnight in Ayutthaya then we recommend that you visit Ban Lan Road Night Market for dinner. Some of the stalls at the western end of the market have tables and chairs for diners and you can order drinks including beer. This is a lively and atmospheric place to go for an evening meal in Ayutthaya and a lot of local choose to eat here partly for that reason and partly because the food is very good.

A very wide range of food is sold at Bang Lan Road Night Market from snacks to Thai curries to seafood. The star of the culinary show at this market is, however, the noodles, and the noodle vendors are the busiest in the market. For a dish that is unique to Ayutthaya try the glass noddle dishes with prawn and topped with coriander cooked in individual metal dishes (as pictured above). Very cheap and very tasty.
