About Nakhon Nayok
Nakhon Nayok is a rural destination with (mainly Thai) visitors travelling there to stay in resorts outside the town centre. The area has mountains, forests and waterfalls as well as very good fruit.

The closest major attraction to Nakhon Nayok is the Namtok Sarika waterfall, which is a nine tier waterfall located within a forested hillside. Slightly further away is the Heo Narok Waterfall inside Khao Yai National Park which falls dramatically over a distance of 200 metres in three drops over cliffs. This is a waterfall with a strong current and not the type of waterfall where you can bathe in the pools below the fall. The first drop in the falls is 60 metres high. Khun Dan Prakan Chon Dam is about the same distance away as Heo Narok Waterfall and features a spectacular 400 metre high dam. Boat trips on the reservoir are also available.
