About Travel to Koh Tao
Lomprayah High Speed Ferry Company services to Koh Tao depart from the company office which is on Soi Rambutri, a short walk away from the Khao San Road. Passengers are asked to check in 45 minutes before departure at 21:00. After checking in you can either wait in front of the office or more comfortably in one of the nearby bars and restaurants. Just before 21:00 staff lead passengers around the corner to the Sip Sam Hang Road where they board the bus. The Lomprayah High Speed Ferry Company has its own fleet of double deck buses with a toilet on the lower floor.

The first stage of the journey is a 490 km trip by road to Thung Makham Noi Ferry Pier in Chumphon District. The bus arrives around 05:00 with a stop at a roadside restaurant about half way through the journey. Passengers then have a wait of about 2 hours at Thung Makham Noi Pier before boarding the ferry the Koh Tao. Thung Makham Noi Pier has a variety of facilities including a restaurant, shop and large seating area. The beach side location is scenic and passengers will enjoy the sunrise before they board the ferry. The sea crossing to Koh Tao is scheduled to take 1 hour 45 minutes.
