About Mae Hong Son

Mae Hong Son is a remote town located in narrow valley about 5 hours drive to the North West of Chiang Mai near the border with Myanmar. This is a very scenic part of Thailand which is more popular with Thai tourists than foreign tourists. Thai tourists come to Mae Hong Son partly because of the scenery and partly because during the period from November to February the temperature drops to around 10 degree Celsius at night which is cool for Thailand.
