Chaofah Park in Krabi
Chaofah Park is located on the riverfront in Krabi Town and it ranks amongst the best parks in Thailand. The setting of the park is picturesque. The park overlooks a wide river mouth with mangrove forests on the opposite bank. In the distance are the weirdly shaped twin peaks of Khao Kanab. A wide variety of boats ply their way along the river all day long and at sunset the park is a popular place to watch the sun go down and to take in the beautiful scenery.

Inside the park there also are lots of points of interest. The length of the park is full of sculptures, some are very modern in style, such as the steel ‘Vision of Krabi’ sculpture, other are more traditional made of stone and plaster work, such as the famous Eagle Sculpture. Every evening from around 17:00 a night market sets up at the edge of the park. This night market is one of the most popular places to eat in Krabi selling inexpensive food and drink which you can consume at the tables and chairs set up around the food stalls. The atmosphere at Chaofah Park is wonderful with local people using the park as much as tourists.
