About Koh Phi Phi


Koh Phi Phi is a cluster of 6 islands, only one of which (Koh Phi Phi Don) permits visitors to stay overnight. The famous Maya Beach (which was the beach in the film ‘The Beach‘) is on Koh Phi Phi Le, which is part of a protected National Park and only allows day trippers. Koh Phi Phi Don is a charming and beautiful island which been over developed. The island island has a very full range of modern conveniences and Western oriented bars and restaurants. Koh Phi Phi is a tourist hotspot rather than a quiet tropical island.

Koh Phi Phi is also a great place to come for activities. The dive sites around Koh Phi Phi are numerous and include a wreck dive and an underwater cave dive for more experienced divers. In addition Koh Phi Phi is a good place for kayaking on account of cluster of islands, outcrops and sea cliffs, and for introductory level climbing. There are lots of climbing schools on Koh Phi Phi Don, which is the largest island in Koh Phi Phi.
