Travel from Phuket Airport
Taxi fares from Phuket International Airport are more expensive than they are in most other parts of the Thailand. The taxi fare from the airport to Patong Beach is around 650 THB (including 100 THB airport surcharge). A cheaper option, particularly if you are travelling alone or as a couple, is to take the Airport Bus. The Airport Bus operates every day with regular departures from 07:30 until 21:30. The last stop on the bus route is Phuket Bus Terminal 1 which is located in Phuket Town. The Airport Bus is scheduled to complete the journey from the airport to Phuket Bus Terminal 1 in 1 hour 25 minutes and the fare is 100 THB per person.

Phuket Bus Terminal 1 is a transport hub for travel within Phuket. There is a regular minivan service from Phuket Bus Terminal 1 to Patong Beach which costs 50 THB a person. There are also services to other beach resorts destinations such as Kata and Karon Beaches. You can also reach the long distance bus terminal (Phuket Bus Terminal 2) by shared taxi for 15 THB from Phuket Bus Terminal 1, and it’s a relatively short journey from Phuket Bus Terminal 1 to Rassada Pier (south of Phuket Town) which is the departure point for ferries to Krabi, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta and Koh Lipe.
