Phrae attracts some, but not lots of, tourists. The town itself has some very unique buildings made of teak wood such as the Pratabjai House and the Vongburi House which you should visit if you go to Phrae. There is also a museum and two notable Buddhist temples, Wat Chorm Sawan and Wat Phra That Cho Hae. To really get the most of a visit to Phrae, however, you really need to take out of the town and into the surrounding countryside. The Phae Mueang Phi Forest Park has some interesting rock formations, and the Wiang Kosai National Park has a little known 7 stage waterfall.
