Bundhaya Speed Boat is a speed boat company which specialises in transporting passengers between the popular tourist islands off the west coast of Thailand, as well as connecting to Langkawi and mainland destinations in the south of Thailand. Many of the routes which the Bundhaya Speed Boat company operates on are long distance routes which would take a very long time to travel in a conventional slow ferry hence the use of speed boats.

About Bundhaya Speed Boat

Bundhaya Speed Boat has been in operation since 2008 and has built up a fleet of 45 seat and 75 seat speedboats. These are some of the largest and fastest speedboats operating in Thailand.

Like all speed boat services, it’s fairly cramped inside Bundhaya Speed Boat vessels. Luggage is stored in the front of the boat and passengers are confined to a limited space in the rear of the boat. There is a small toilet on board all their boats. The cramped conditions tend not to be too much of an issue because the journey times are fairly short, except on the Koh Lanta to Koh Lipe route which takes 3 hours and can be a test of endurance for some passengers.

All Bundhaya Speed Boat services depart from, and arrive at, a pier so there is no need to take your shoes off and roll up your trousers to enter and exit these speedboat services. Unlike the larger ferry services to and from Koh Lipe you arrive and depart directly on the beach. The larger ferries cannot pull into the beach on Koh Lipe and dock at a floating pier moored several hundred meters out to sea.

The Bundhaya Speed Boat company is based on the island of Koh Lipe, with their main office on Pattaya Beach near their resort, which is called the Bundhaya Resort.
