Hua Hin Night Market
Hua Hin Night Market on the Dechanuchit Alley, near the railway station, is one of the liveliest places in Hua Hin in the evening time. The market takes places every night of the year from 18:00 until midnight and attracts large numbers of tourists as well as local people. The market has a wide variety of clothes and souvenir shops but what attracts the majority of visitors is the food stalls and restaurants.
Hua Hin is a well known destination for seafood. The most famous seafood restaurants are on the Nares Damri Road on the seafront in the town centre. Hua Hin Night Market, however, has some much cheaper seafood eateries. The best value for money is the seafood stalls located at the crossroads where the Sa Song Road meets the Dechanuchit Alley. These seafood stalls have metal tables and plastic chairs and inexpensive seafood is cooked to order in mobile kitchens and served to diners at their tables for a fraction of the cost of the same meal at a town centre restaurant. Duang Jai Seafood is one of the better stalls. Further inside the market there are permanent restaurants where the seafood is sold by weight, such as the railway themed Rod Fai Restaurant which is still relatively good value for money but more expensive than the mobile stalls in the market.
