About Koh Lipe

Koh Lipe is a small island with three main beaches: Pattaya Beach on the south coast, Sunrise Beach (including Power Beach and Bulow Beach) on the north east coast, and Sunset Beach on the north west coast. Koh Lipe only really has one town which is centred on Walking Street which runs inland from Pattaya Beach.

The beaches on Koh Lipe are some of the best in Thailand, and the water is very clear and in rich in marine life. The beaches, however, are very busy as is the small town area. Koh Lipe is one of the few places in Thailand where you will regularly see people queuing to get a table in the evening at popular restaurants during the high season period from January to April.

Other than enjoying the beach other popular activities on Koh Lipe including scuba diving and kayaking. Boat trips to the nearby islands of Koh Adang, Koh Ra Wi, and Koh Hin Son are also popular. There are plenty of taxi boats parked on Sunrise Beach waiting to take tourists on boat tours around these beautiful uninhabited islands. We recommend checking the price with a few different boat operators before you commit to going on tour as they don’t all charge the same amount.
