The town has a few places of interest to visit. If you have the energy then climbing Phu Khao Ok Thalu hill on the edge of the town offers great views and some shrines hidden in caves and other nearly inaccessible spots of the hill. The other major site to visit in Phatthalung is Wat Khuha Sawan, which you can look around without needing to climb hundreds of step. Wat Khuha Sawan is the major temple in Phatthalung and the location of Khuha Sawan Cave, which is a cave with Buddha statues inside that is considered a very important religious site and has been visited by several of the Kings of Thailand. Other things to see in the town are Nang Khlot Cave (near Wat Khuha Sawan), the Phra Phuttha Nirokhantrai Chaiwat Chaturathit (a famous Buddha statue in a town centre shrine hall) and the creative street art which is scattered around the centre of Phatthalung.
