Koh Lipe Ferry Pier
During the tourist high season (October to April) all speedboat services from Koh Lipe to Pak Bara Pier depart from Pattaya Beach.
During the low season (May to September) some or all of the speedboat services from Koh Lipe to Pak Bara Pier depart from Sunrise Beach on the other side of the island which is often better protected from large waves in the rainy season.

About Travel from Pak Bara Pier
Pak Bara Pier is small, modern, ferry and speedboat port that can get very busy during the high season from November through to the end of April. Outside of those months Pak Bara Pier is much quieter. Koh Lipe is one of several islands which you can reach from Pak Bara Pier. By speed boat its about 30 minutes to travel between Pak Bara Pier and Koh Tarutao or between Pak Bara Pier and Koh Bulone.
Travel to Satun
If Satun is your next destination, the cheapest way to travel from Pak Bara Pier is take a shared taxi to the nearest town, La-ngu. These shared taxis depart from the car park in front of the pier and cost around 20 THB per person. Explain to the driver that you are going to Satun and they will drop you off at a place where can board a minivan to Satun.

Pak Bara Pier is located 117 km by road from Hat Yai Airport. Bus and minivan services to Hat Yai City and Hat Yai Airport also depart from the car parking area in front of the entrance to the port. These services depart at 11:30 and 13:30 and take around 2 hours to reach Hat Yai. Unfortunately, you can’t board one of these services without first having a ticket.
You can buy a ticket for a bus or minivan service from Paka Bara Pier to Hat Yai on arrival at Pak Bara Pier, however, only if there is a free seat. Booking your transfer from Pak Bara Pier to Hat Yai in advice is a good idea.
